Two Different Ends of a Spectrum

Wooooowww, sooo wonderous!!!

Yesterday, I was on a train, and then I observed a guy and a lady on the train next to each other, holding hands, both maybe now mid twenties. And yeah, just your average people, guy dressed in shirt jeans canvases and 59fifty hat, girl in a singlet, nice floral skirt and sandals. That description was maybe not so relevant. But anyway I noticed the guy had a hearing aid, and you know when people have hearing aids they can maybe still hear some noise, thats the whole point of wearing it right? Well yeah, glanced up after a while, and they were silent for a bit, then started signing a few brief words I guess? to each other, and then they gave each other a quick smile, hug and kiss! And it was like awww, man they don't need to say anything as such and still show such love! :D

Kinda like how in Lost in Translation, Bob and Charlotte's final embrace and you don't even hear what he says, or when they're smoking that joint and its just pure silence but so emotionally intense!!!

Anyway today, we were playing articulate, 4 teams of 4 and yeah we were all on the last spot and it was Paul/Wilson/Sonia/Andy's team's turn to do the all-in to win. And yeah idea is you're meant to use in-jokes to get your own teammates to guess what the word is, kinda like taboo, and Wilson had to do the describing. And yeah, so at first he tried describing to Sonia but she had to take a call, so he moved to Paul. And did the most ROUND ABOUT, VAGUE, "Do you remember when..., and this..., and how that... and we'd never ever... now the first syllable... related ..... yeah? ok now this... got it? link it to the first... now what is this... " and it went on for a whole freaking HALF AN HOUR of what seemed to many like aimless description. but holy damn, the connection, how focused and intent Wilson was on getting Paul on the same wavelength as him, how they had SO MANY MOMENTS they could draw back on and share with each other, was absolutely stunning.
and so after soo many strange descriptions which all maybe 12 of us bar Paul were clueless about, Paul blurted out "A Eucalyptus Tree", and Wilson, the look of pure satisfaction and I guess even relief, was soo amazing. He didn't even yelp, or whoop or cheer. It was a smile and a nod, a hi-5 a pat on the head, wow. Absolutely inseparable and amazing, these two.

So on one side, you have two who don't even communicate in words, and on the other, a pair who communicate with so many words that it seems to us superfluous, yet both pairs connect with each other and understand each other per-fect-ly.They just click with each other. They're on the same wavelength.

I know that even though I had no part in any of this, it is an absolute joy as an outsider to see this, and no doubt, dare I say it, for them to experience!

If you ever find someone like that, make sure you never lose them, guy or girl.
